ASTANA – Senior Sergeant of the Zhambyl Region Police Department Galym Arystanbayev always dreamt of having a big family. And after adopting five children, in addition to three of his own, he is one proud papa.

“I have a big family and Aliya, my wife, greatly supports me. We understand and complement each other. All our family members are healthy and happy and this is the key point. Yes, I am the happiest man in the world,” said Arystanbayev.
The press service of Zhambyl region police department reported that the Senior Sergeant has honestly served the state for many years. Colleagues say he is distinguished by personal involvement, charity and kindness. Arystanbayev’s colleagues found out about his fine gesture absolutely by accident.
The thirty-eight-year-old police officer was the father of three sons and dreamed about a daughter. He and his wife planned to adopt only one daughter, but when they went to orphanage, the couple decided to adopt five children. All children are of different age and different ethnic nationalities. The eldest girl is Azerbaijani, a middle one is Chinese and a younger daughter is Uzbek. The eldest boy is Romany and a younger boy is Russian.
“All of them are so different, but all of them speak one language – Kazakh. All my children are really good, tender and grateful. As all parents, we hope that they become dignified citizens of our country,” Arystanbayev said.
“I don’t distinguish between my biological children or adopted ones. We are one united family! My wife is a professional pedagogue and takes care of our children and our household. I help her on weekends and teach the boys to do men’s work. I work on boys’ physical growth and development. Our favourite hobby is to go to picnics and relax in nature,” he said.
