ASTANA – Kazakh low-cost carrier Fly Arystan is set to launch Astana-Baku passenger flights from June 2, the Kazakh Civil Aviation Committee reported on March 16.
Flights will be operated twice a week on Mondays and Fridays on Airbus-A320 aircraft.
The air carrier also operates flights on the Aktau-Baku route.
Kazakh national air carrier Air Astana currently operates flights from Almaty to Baku twice a week. Flights between Aktobe and Baku run twice a week by Qazaq Air.
Azerbaijan’s air carrier Azərbaycan Hava Yolları (AZAL) resumed Baku-Astana and Baku-Almaty flights on March 16 and 17, respectively.
The airline operates Baku-Almaty flights twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays, Baku-Astana flights on Mondays and Thursdays, and return flights on Tuesdays and Fridays.
Azerbaijan’s Buta Airways low-cost airline operates flights on the Baku-Aktau-Baku route three times a week.
According to the committee, opening flights will accelerate bilateral cooperation in trade, economy, business, tourism, and culture.
