Kazakhstan to Increase Horse Meat Exports to Japan

NUR-SULTAN – Nine more Kazakh meat-processing enterprises have been included in the register of companies allowed to export horse meat to Japan, reported the Kazakh Ministry of Agriculture on Aug. 4.

Overall, the register now includes 43 Kazakh companies. The information on the volume of exports and the start date, however, was not specified.

Kazakhstan’s horse meat has been exported to Japan since 2020.
