The National Brand Halyk Markasy competition is going to be held in Kazakhstan to choose the best local food producers, reported the Kazagromarketing company.

Domestic manufacturers will compete for the Best Producer title in 30 categories. According to organisers, the nationwide contest aims to increase the popularity of locally produced food products among Kazakh citizens. Winners will be determined by consumers who can vote for their favorite products online at www.halykmarkasy.kz. The online voting will be available from Sept. 9 to Oct. 8.
“Those who win will be able to use the National Brand mark on packaging as a label for two years starting from the date of victory. Thus, this mark of distinction, being an evidence of the quality of products will allow manufacturing companies to reach a new level in the market and attract more consumers. Consumers, in turn, will receive a guarantee for the chosen product,” explained representatives of the Kazagromarketing company.
The awarding ceremony will take place on Oct. 19 as part of the World Food Day celebration programme, which will continue throughout that week in the EXPO 2015 Kazakh pavilion in Milan, Italy.
