ASTANA – The agreement on mutual visa exemption between Kazakhstan and China, signed by both governments on May 17 in Xi’an, will come into force on Nov. 10, according to the letter of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry dated Oct. 17.

As per the agreement, citizens of both countries are exempt from visa requirements for private affairs, tourism, medical treatment, international travel, transit, and business purposes.
The document grants people visa-free access for up to 30 calendar days from crossing the border, with a cumulative total of 90 calendar days within 180 days.
If the purposes or time of the trip do not correspond to these provisions, citizens must apply for an appropriate visa before entering the countries’ territories.
