Astana Opera star wishes nation well on Constitution Day

ASTANA – Young artists of the Astana Opera presented Aug. 26 at the Astana Opera chamber Hall “Our Song Is for You, Kazakhstan!,” a festive concert in honour of Constitution Day._DSC7854

“Our concert is dedicated to one of the most important holidays of our country – Constitution Day. On this day, I have sung Dudar-ai folk song and Tugan Zher vocal work by contemporary Kazakhstan composer Alibi Abdinurov. We have been preparing this programme for about a week. Young professional soloists who are working in the classical music genre have put all their heart and soul into the performance. We would like to congratulate all fellow citizens of Kazakhstan with this splendid holiday and wish prosperity to our country,” said mezzo-soprano singer of the Astana Opera Malika Minisini in an exclusive interview with the Astana Times.

The young generation of talented trainee soloists who have joined the opera company of the Astana Opera House are international competition laureates: Nazym Sagintai (soprano), Malika Minisini (mezzo-soprano), Shyngys Rasylkhan (bass). They prepared an unforgettable musical evening for the audience. International competition laureates Aigerim Amanzholova (soprano), Almat Izbambetov (tenor), Azat Malik and Altynbek Abilda (baritones) took part in the concert as well. They were joined by talented instrumentalists, also participants and winners of many international competitions: flutist Zhibek Sapargaliyeva and Dolce violin ensemble, piano player Raushan Beskembirova.

Popular songs, romances, famous arias and duets from operas by Akhmet Zhubanov, Mukan Tulebayev, Yevgeni Brussilovskiy, Gaziza Zhubanova, Yerkegali Rakhmadiyev, Tles Kazhgaliyev, Serke Mukhamedzhanov and others were performed. The full house gave the performers long-standing ovations.
