ASTANA – Kazpost is offering new services to residents of rural settlements that will allow them to purchase electronic tickets for domestic flights and spare parts for cars made in Kazakhstan online. Customer can get their goods in any of Kazpost’s 2,000 post offices.
“Kazpost is actively diversifying its portfolio of services. More than a year ago, we successfully launched the sale of railway tickets through our post offices. Recently, we started to sell tickets for EXPO 2017. As of today, we are working on software integration with service providers and debugging sales mechanisms. We are coming closer to our mission: connecting villages and cities, trying to saturate the rural department with services that were previously available only to city dwellers. Now, villagers don’t need to go to a city to buy tickets,” said head of Kazpost’s press service Bairam Azizov.
On Sept. 28, the project was launched in pilot mode in Astana, Almaty, Aktobe and Shymkent. Now, tickets can be purchased in all automated offices of Kazpost. The company has nearly 2,000 offices around the country. By 2017, the company is going to sell tickets online through the post.kz website.
Kazakhstan citizens can also now buy spare parts for cars made in Kazakhstan. An agreement on the matter was signed between Asia Avto Kazakh automaker (part of BIPEK Auto) and Kazpost at the Forum of Domestic Producers in Astana. Such cooperation will make it easier for thousands of car owners to maintain their vehicles. Every year, 19 branches of BIPEK Auto-Asia Avto sell 687,000 units of spare parts. From now on, people living in villages can order spare parts from the nearest post office, paying for goods in cash or online using payment cards.
“There are approximately 120,000 cars made in Ust-Kamenogorsk on the roads of the country. This figure has been increasing. Each vehicle requires maintenance. Daily, Kazakhstan needs nearly 2,000 spare parts from BIPEK Auto-Asia Avto. Two-thirds of our customers are residents of the rural regions. Kazpost will allow them to order necessary spare parts without leaving home and to get them in one of the post offices across the country. Thanks to the modern electronic service of Kazpost, we have dramatically increased availability and after-sales service speed. This is especially important for car owners in remote parts of the country,” said President of Asia Auto Erik Sagymbayev.
