ASTANA – A Trampoline and Amusement Park recently opened in Almaty providing residents a new venue for leisure activities.
The Trampoline Park is recognised as the largest in the country. Its area is 1,650 square metres. The new facility offers such entertainments as free jump zone, dodgeball area (game in which players on two teams try to throw balls at each other while avoiding being hit themselves), slam-dunk zone (trampoline basketball), Ninja Warrior obstacle and walking on walls and many more. Additionally, the park will hold group training with professional instructors: fitness on trampoline, acrobatic tricks, programmes for children and tricks for snowboarders and skiers.
The Trampoline Park is a convenient choice for a family holiday and a great way to get young people involved in sports.
“KANGO is one of the pilot projects when a business offers a good alternative for a useful pastime. It is important that the children will be engaged in physical activity, and parents will be able to spend more time with their children. We will certainly cooperate with the Trampoline Park to hold training in freestyle skiing, snowboarding and other events. This is another opportunity for our professional athletes and novice sportsmen to hone their skills,” Almaty Department of Physical Culture and Sports Head Abil Donbayev said.
According to the social survey aimed at revealing children’s activities in Kazakhstan, 28 percent of young people are more likely to spend their free time watching television. Twenty-three percent of urban children dedicate leisure time to video games on a computer or a smartphone and only 16 percent prefer playing outdoor games. The remaining 33 percent spend time playing computer games and attending a variety of clubs and sections.
According to Donbayev, trampoline parks are a popular alternative to gadgets in many countries of the world. Inspired by the idea, a foreign investor from the U.S. implemented the project of Trampoline Park in Kazakhstan.
“An active lifestyle is a health guarantee. We wanted to create fun and useful entertainment for Kazakh families and organise a useful and fun place for family entertainment,” Donbayev outlined.
The new Trampoline and Amusement Park has welcomed its first guests and is looking forward to new outdoor enthusiasts. It is located in the shopping centre MEGA Alma-Ata at 247A Rozybakiyev Street, on the second floor.
