Songwriter and composer Erkesh Shakeev and violinist Marat Bisengaliyev introduced their new joint music project with the London Symphony Orchestra on May 19 in Almaty.
“The album recording started on May 12 in London. The album called ‘Inception’ features compositions in neoclassical style. This is a unique event for Kazakhstan. No one solo performer or orchestra from Kazakhstan had the opportunity to work with The London Symphony Orchestra before,” said musicologist and executive producer of the albumRaikhan Shaimerdenova.
The album ‘Inception’,composed for violin and orchestra, includes 11 music tracks created by renowned arrangers from Great Britain, Canada and Italy. The sound producer of the project is British producer Alexander Van Ingen. The album is expected to be released before the end of June.
The two Kazakh musicians are planning to release a second album as late as by the end of August. The recording of the second album with a choir has already started. Shakeev and Bisengalyev also said that they would like to work together with the Berlin Symphony Orchestra and Dutch Royal Orchestra which are considered to be among the top orchestras in the world.
“We are also planning to work with world famous opera artists in the future. As for now, we are recording about 40 compositions for Marat Bisengaliyev and the symphony orchestra,” explained Shakeev.
The Kazakh musicians are planning to perform their new concert programme on the stages of Royal Albert Hall London, Carnegie Hall in New York City and in Berlin.
