ALMATY – More than 1,000 young developers, programmers, designers, directors, video bloggers and media specialists from all regions of Kazakhstan participated in the Fourth International Competition Hack Day on May 9-10 in Almaty.
The event was organised by the International IT-University and attracted IT specialists from Russia and Tajikistan, in addition to Kazakh competitors. CEO of the Fund for ICT Development Sanzhar Kettebekov noted that this year’s event attracted an unprecedented number of competitors.
The programme offered participants a comprehensive agenda with traditional sections “IT,” “Content and Media,” “Film & Video,” in addition to a new section “Mobile Applications.” The event, which could be tracked on the Internet, was held under the slogan “24 hours without sleep!”
The winner in the IT section was team Sentoki, who presented the project “Eureka.” The group Avengers won in the “Content and Media” category with the information portal Taraqan.kz. The Kakharman team won in the “Film & Video” category.
All of the winners received prizes and certificates from Samsung, the general sponsor.
