Kazakhstan 2050 Plan Unveiled Online in 20 Languages

ASTANA – The Kazakh Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Kazcontent on March 27 unveiled online access to the country’s Kazakhstan 2050 plan in 20 languages.

“I would like to note that during the years of independence, Kazakhstan has become a reliable, responsible and respected member of the international community. All the events and processes that take place in our country are monitored by our foreign partners,” said MFA Press Secretary Nurzhan Aitmakhanov.

According to Aitmakhanov, the translation of “Kazakhstan 2050: A New Political Course of the Established State” into languages such as English, Italian and Spanish will allow foreign partners to find out more about Kazakhstan’s priorities and goals.

Ambassador of China to Kazakhstan Le Yucheng said the translation provides an opportunity for foreigners to understand the way Kazakh people think about their future and the country’s plans.“Chinese people are highly interested in this strategy, as they are used to carefully following all the changes taking place in Kazakhstan. A lot of investors and businessmen are going to develop their business plan in accordance with this strategy. They are looking for better and profitable ways of cooperation,” said the ambassador.

Aitmakhanov also explained how the languages were chosen: “While choosing the languages,we thought about our neighbours and also regional powers: Turkey, Iran and Saudi Arabia. Thus, offering the Arabic translation, we covered 22 countries. We also selected several European countries, [including] Germany and France, as they are our important strategic partners. Among Asian languages, we chose Korean and Japanese.”
