ASTANA – Kazakhstan will take part in the 34th International Tourism Exhibition FITUR Jan. 22-26 in Madrid, according to the press service of the Committee of Tourism Industry of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of Kazakhstan.
FITUR is one of the largest tourism industry events in Spain and is held in IFEMA, Madrid’s largest exhibition space. The event showcases the latest tourism trends, products and services. It is also an opportunity for tourism industry officials to network and exchange experiences.
Visitors to the event will have the opportunity to see Kazakhstan-related tourism displays presented by delegations from Astana and Almaty cities, as well as from the Almaty, Zhambyl, Mangistau and South Kazakhstan regions. Well-known Kazakh jeweler Berik Alibay and the Akku Concert Association named after Baizhanov will also take part in the Kazakhstan delegation. Kazakhstan’s participation in the event is part of a national effort to attract tourism to the country.
Kazakhstan’s participation in the FITUR project is a part of a larger work on the formation of the Kazakhstan tourism image in order to attract tourists to the country.
In 2013, FITUR was attended by about 9,000 companies from over 160 countries and regions. The exhibition was visited by about 100,000 visitors.
This year’s event will include the Fiturtech Science and Technology Forum, which is dedicated to the joint development of tourism and innovative communication technologies in the modern world. It will also include the Know-How Tourism conference and the Sected Prize seminar presentation, which evaluates the quality of tourism destinations.
