Therapeutic horse riding is meant to help children of the Semey area suffering from psycho-neurological diseases.
According to Ksenia Tavlui, coordinator of the non-governmental organization Istok, the sessions were made possible thanks to a project called Care, which is being implemented with the support of the East Kazakhstan Region Department of Employment and Social Programmes Children and Youth Sport School and the staff of a Semey-area horse racetrack.
“Almost every one of us admires the horse, its beauty and power. And it is difficult to overestimate the joy of children with serious illnesses when they meet and communicate with these beautiful animals,” said Tavlu.
