G-Global’s Person of the Month for May, former Argentine Central Bank Chairman and Economics Minister Cavallo Domingo, has begun discussing global economic issues online with users of the G-Global website.
Domingo was Argentina’s Central Bank chairman in 1982. He served as minister of Economics from 1991 to 1996 and again in 2001. He was minister of Foreign Affairs from 1989 to 1991.
Domingo, who has a Ph.D. in Economics from Yale University, served two terms in Argentina’s Lower House – from 1987 to 1991 and 1997 to 2001.
He has been a professor of Economics at the National University of Cordoba, at the Stern School of Business at New York University and at Harvard University.
The theme of the online conference that Domingo is participating in is “The Economic- Reform andIntegration Experiences of South America That Are Relevant to the CIS Countries.”
