Air Astana Switches to Summer Schedule

ASTANA — Air Astana has switched to its summer schedule, which will be in effect from March 29 to October 24. During this period, flight frequencies on existing routes will be increased, seasonal flights will resume, and new routes will be launched.

On March 29, the first flight on the new Almaty-Shanghai route was operated. The service runs on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays using an Airbus A321LR. New Astana-Guangzhou flights will commence on June 2, operating on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Flights from Astana to Larnaca (Cyprus) will also begin on June 2, followed by Almaty-Larnaca services on June 4. All these routes will be operated using an Airbus A321LR.

Flight frequencies are expected to gradually increase from Astana and Almaty to Beijing, Istanbul, and Antalya. In addition, flights from Astana to Frankfurt will become daily starting in May. Frequencies on routes from Almaty to Urumqi, Tbilisi, and Tashkent are also set to increase, reported the airline’s press service on March 31.

Flights have resumed from Almaty to Nha Trang/Da Nang (Vietnam), Batumi, Podgorica (Montenegro), and Bodrum. From Astana, services have resumed to Nha Trang/Da Nang, Podgorica, Tbilisi, Bodrum, and Tashkent, as well as from Atyrau to Tbilisi. Seasonal flights from Almaty to Male (Maldives) have been extended until the end of May.

Kazakhstan citizens enjoy visa-free travel to China, Georgia, Maldives, Türkiye, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam.
