ALMATY – The 30th International Oil and Gas Exhibition (KIOGE 2026) will take place in Almaty on Sept. 30-Oct. 2, bringing together more than 500 companies from 62 countries to discuss the future of Kazakhstan’s energy sector, international cooperation and emerging technologies.

The anniversary edition of the exhibition will bring together government representatives, international and national energy companies, major project operators, technology providers, equipment manufacturers and oilfield service companies.
Of the 501 participating companies, 187 are from Kazakhstan and 314 are international, while 34% of exhibitors will participate in KIOGE for the first time. National groups will be represented by companies from Austria, Germany, Italy, India, China and Russia. More than 9,000 visitors are expected during the event’s days.
Three decades of industry dialogue
The anniversary of KIOGE comes as Kazakhstan’s energy sector is undergoing significant technological and structural changes, with growing attention to digitalization, artificial intelligence, gas processing, petrochemicals, low-carbon development and new energy and logistics chains.

The conference program, which will run Sept. 30-Oct. 1, will bring together 620 delegates and speakers from 12 countries, with more than 280 B2B and G2B meetings planned.
Founded in 1993, KIOGE has developed alongside Kazakhstan’s oil and gas industry, evolving from an industry exhibition into a platform for investment, technology exchange and professional dialogue. Over three decades, its agenda has expanded from major oil and gas projects and international investment to include digitalization, industrial localization, energy transition and emerging technologies.
Focus on new energy chains and technology
The first day will feature the plenary session on Kazakhstan’s role in new energy chains, alongside sessions on intelligent upstream development, Kazakhstan’s national energy report, low-carbon development and ESG, digital transformation, and oil and gas machinery and petrochemicals, as well as the presentation of the 26th WPC Energy Congress, which will be held in Astana in 2028.
Artificial intelligence will feature prominently in the program, with practical cases examining AI, automation and new technologies in the oil and gas industry. The program will also examine export logistics and the geopolitics of energy routes, with experts discussing existing and alternative export corridors and Kazakhstan’s role in regional energy exports.
Gas, energy policy and the industry’s future
On Oct. 1, the program will focus on gas and gas chemistry, export logistics and the geopolitics of routes, and Kazakhstan’s energy future, including investment, the energy transition and strategic opportunities.
A panel involving veterans of the oil and gas industry, “Industry Legends on Challenges and Victories,” will look back at three decades of sector development and discuss future challenges.
The second day will also feature the business game organized by GR Hub Kazakhstan and a PR and HR business simulation focused on leadership and management in an environment of uncertainty, technological change and artificial intelligence.
Practical business program
A separate business program at the exhibition venue on Sept. 30-Oct. 1 will feature sessions, including discussions, presentations of new technologies and training sessions open to industry professionals.
Companies will present practical solutions, procurement programs and opportunities for cooperation across the oil and gas value chain. The North Caspian Operating Company, Karachaganak Petroleum Operating and Tengizchevroil will present opportunities for domestic suppliers, while other participants will showcase technologies in areas ranging from AI and well productivity to intelligent oil and gas processing.
The exhibition will be held across pavilions 7–11 of the Atakent International Exhibition Center.
Anniversary edition
The 30th anniversary edition is expected to continue KIOGE’s evolution by bringing together traditional energy companies and new technology providers to discuss how the industry can respond to changing global energy markets. The anniversary program will conclude with an awards ceremony and a film marking 30 years of KIOGE.
KIOGE 2026 is officially supported by the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan, the Almaty’s city administration, Atameken, KAZENERGY, KazMunayGas, PSA, IMBC, Energy Monitor, KazService and PETROCOUNCIL.KZ.
