The MedTexKZ company has launched the production of sterile vests, sliders, caps and other clothing for newborns at a plant in Shymkent. The factory is the only one of its kind in Kazakhstan.
All products are made from high-quality cotton and kept in a sealed package. Thirty-seven employees are working at the company with expected monthly production at 25,000 sets.
These products are intended for use in hospitals and at home after newborns are discharged from hospitals.
“We can guarantee security. It is sterile linen. It is for newborns whose immune systems are not yet developed. The clothing will be protected from infections. Products undergo several stages of laboratory testing, including expertise in bacteriological and toxicological laboratories,” General Director Nargiza Imanakunova said.
The material for the production of the kits is imported from Russia.
The products will be widely available in December, MedTexKZ management said. Currently, management is signing contracts with distributors. Manufacturers are planning to sell the items through a network of pharmacies.
