Dastan Satpayev Becomes Kazakhstan’s Most Valuable Footballer

ASTANA – Chelsea forward Dastan Satpayev, currently on loan at Burnley, has regained the top spot among Kazakhstan’s most valuable footballers, with his market value rising to a record €5 million (US$5.6 million), according to Transfermarkt.

The 18-year-old surpassed Kazakhstan national team teammate Maksim Samorodov, whose market value is €4 million (US$4.5 million). Satpayev’s valuation is the highest recorded for a young Kazakh footballer.

His market value rose after he adapted to English football and made his Championship debut. Satpayev is currently sidelined with a muscle injury and missed autumn UEFA Nations League matches, reported Kazinform.

Samorodov ranks second at €4 million, followed by Türkiye’s Beşiktaş midfielder Bakhtiyor Zaynutdinov at €3.5 million (US$3.9 million) and Russia’s Zenit defender Nuraly Alip at €3 million (US$3.3 million). RF Krylia Sovetov attacking midfielder Islam Chesnokov completes the top five with a market value of €1.2 million (US$1.3 million).

All five of Kazakhstan’s most valuable players currently represent clubs abroad.

Among players competing in Kazakhstan, Tobol midfielder Aleksandr Zuev has the highest market value at €1.2 million (US$1.3 million).

Sabah goalkeeper Stas Pokatilov, who has played for the Azerbaijan’ club since 2025, is valued at €600,000 (US$675,363).
