ASTANA – Kazakhstan expects to produce 825,000 tons of jet fuel this year, exceeding its annual target of 750,000 tons and increasing output by 13% from 2025.

The country produced 591,000 tons of jet fuel in January-August. Production is expected to reach 825,000 tons by the end of the year, compared with 726,000 tons in 2025, the Energy Ministry reported.
The ministry is continuing work to increase domestic jet fuel production and ensure stable supplies to the domestic market. Domestic production fully covers the needs of Kazakhstan’s civil aviation sector, security agencies, civil protection services and the state material reserve.
Kazakhstan’s passenger aviation sector is estimated to demand 680,000 tons annually.
Jet fuel production is expected to increase further in the coming years, with output targeted to reach 1.5 million tons by 2031.
