ASTANA — Air Astana has extended the suspension of flights to Dubai until the end of April due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. Regular flights from Almaty and Astana will remain canceled from April 1 through April 30 inclusive.

Passengers affected by the cancellations are offered a full refund without penalties, free rebooking on flights to Dubai with departure dates through June 30, or rebooking to other destinations within the airline’s network without penalties, subject to any fare differences and airport taxes, for travel through June 30.
The Arab Republic of Egypt has been removed from Kazakhstan’s list of countries not recommended for travel, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported on March 27, citing the stable situation and functioning airports and tourist sites. However, travel warnings remain in effect for Bahrain, Israel, Yemen, Jordan, Iraq, Iran, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Lebanon, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, and Syria due to ongoing tensions and periodic airspace closures.
The U.S.–Iran conflict continues with ongoing strikes and escalation risks. President Donald Trump said the U.S. is “nearing completion of its main strategic objectives” and will carry out “aggressive strikes… over the next two to three weeks,” reported Reuters on April 1.
He also warned the United States would hit Iran “extremely hard” in the coming weeks, signaling further escalation.
On April 1, Reuters reported that “thousands of U.S. troops are being deployed” to the Middle East as the war continues.
