ASTANA – The Astana EXPO 2017 national company presented on Dec. 23 the One-Stop Service Centre (OSSC) and Accreditation Centre to representatives of countries planning to participate in the expo, expo2017astana.com reported.

During the meeting, Director of Service Department Diyas Azbergenov informed about functional capacities of the OSSC.
“The OSSC works around the clock on the principle of ‘one window.’ It was created to serve the official participants, Offices of Section Commissioners and their staff. The representatives of government bodies and other organisations, including agencies of internal affairs, customs authority and tax authority will be providing appropriate types of public and other services timely and effectively,” Azbergenov said.
The OSSC will provide services, such as visa support, migration registration, taxation, customs matters, proprietary rights, sanitary and epidemiological control and use of the radio frequency spectrum in Kazakhstan.
In addition, the company’s partner Qazkommertsbank will provide relevant banking services. Also, registered participants will have a chance to get insurance, logistics, consulting, notary and translation services, as well as air tickets booking and express mail services by means of the OSSC.
Director of Operational Control and Risk Management Department Marken Akhmetov informed about Accreditation Centre activities.
“The accreditation system was launched in December 2016. Now, all people wishing to enter the territory and individual facilities of EXPO 2017 need to register online and pass a special examination in the law enforcement agencies of Kazakhstan. This will provide additional safety during the preparation process and the event itself,” Akhmetov noted.
During the organisation and launch of accreditation systems, the company applied international experience, thus, ensuring complete functioning of the centre.
EXPO 2017 will be held from June 10 until Sept. 10 in Astana.
