ASTANA — Kazakhstan’s Foreign Ministry has urged citizens traveling abroad to check visa, migration, transit and customs requirements before departure.

Kazakh citizens can continue to enter Georgia visa-free for up to 365 days. However, visa-free status does not permit employment. Since Sept. 1, working without the required legal authorization may constitute grounds for expulsion, with a possible re-entry ban of two to five years, Kazakh Foreign Ministry spokesperson Zhanbolat Ussenov said at a Sept. 16 briefing.
Thailand has reduced the visa-free stay applicable to Kazakh citizens from 60 to 30 days. As of Sept. 15, citizens can stay visa-free for up to 30 days per entry, with a maximum of 90 days within 180 days. Those planning longer stays should obtain an appropriate visa in advance.
Since July, Kazakh citizens can also enter Indonesia visa-free for up to 30 days. The regime is free and allows a single entry. Travelers must also complete Indonesia’s electronic arrival declaration.
The Foreign Ministry recommends checking passport validity and entry requirements, obtaining medical insurance, using official ticket services, complying with airline baggage and transit rules, and not carrying other people’s parcels or luggage.
Citizens traveling abroad for work, study or medical treatment should verify all required documents, contracts, invitations and permits in advance.
While Kazakhstan’s diplomatic and consular missions assist within their competence, each citizen is responsible for complying with the laws of the country they are visiting.
