Kazakh FM Outlines Priorities to Accelerate Investment Projects and Attract Foreign Capital 

ASTANA – Kazakhstan’s Foreign Minister Mukhtar Tileuberdi has outlined key priorities for strengthening the country’s efforts to attract foreign investment during a Sept. 10 working meeting with the leadership of the Investment Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and KAZAKH INVEST.

The meeting brought together Investment Committee Chairman Ardak Zebeshev, KAZAKH INVEST Chairman of the Board Sultangali Kinzhaкulov, as well as deputy chairpersons, managing directors and heads of key areas of the two organizations.

The minister was briefed on the current state of work to attract foreign direct investment, implement investment projects and engage with potential investors. The meeting also covered the development of Kazakhstan’s national digital investment platform and preparations for international investment events.

Focus on investor engagement and project implementation

Following the meeting, Tileuberdi identified improving the effectiveness of engagement with investors and accelerating the implementation of investment projects as key priorities for the upcoming period. Particular attention was also given to ensuring a coordinated approach to attracting capital into Kazakhstan’s economy.

The ministry, the Investment Committee and KAZAKH INVEST will continue work in these areas as part of a unified approach to implementing Kazakhstan’s investment policy and strengthening the country’s position as an attractive destination for international capital.
