“Our goal is to provide trainings for 10,000 farmers until the end of the year and give them modern solutions, innovative technologies, the use of which will increase the efficiency of their businesses during the workshops. We are launching www.fermers.kz portal to provide consultations 24 hours and seven days a week. There will be various options specially created for the needs of the agricultural producers, including training programmes,” said head of the Centre for Agro Competencies of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs Atameken Toleutai Rakhimbekov.

He stressed that the educational programme and professional and qualified lecturers are key aspects of effective workshops.

“We have prepared instructions and a template for the development of training programmes for seminars. We distributed and explained this information to the experts. We divided the curriculum into three parts, including technology and innovative solutions for the entrepreneur, the economic efficiency of the implementation of the proposed technology (summary calculations and profitability) and the state support mechanisms, including the prospects for the creation of cooperatives of agricultural producers in the possible directions of agribusiness,” he added.

Earlier, the centre invited 25 Kazakh and 25 foreign experts for the joint development of programmes. The topics of seminars and training programmes were developed based on the agricultural producers’ interests.

In general, 97 programmes were introduced including 50 in animal husbandry and 47 in crop production. The international experts who will talk about the extension service system in the field of agriculture in their countries and share their experience will also participate in the classes.

The Centre for Agro Competencies was established June 16, 2016 by the Congress of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs Atameken to implement the task of the Ministry of Agriculture for the dissemination of knowledge among agribusiness entities.
