ASTANA – A botanical garden to be built in Astana as part of EXPO 2017 will become a significant attraction, according to the Astana City Communal Services Administration.
The 97-hectare garden complete with a parking lot will be located between Kabanbai Batyr Avenue and Turkestan Street.

The botanic gardens projet is divided into six parts: two park zones, an entrance with fountains, an open ground garden that reflects the nature of the country, an artificial lake to represent water plants and a botanic garden with greenhouses. The greenhouses will have themes such as Mediterranean Forest, Asian Landscape, The Garden of Land and Mother, Tropical Greenhouse, and gardens reflecting the countries of Iran, Spain, Japan, Great Britain, France, Italy, China and Egypt.
According to information provided by the city administration, the first phase of construction has begun and it is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
