NUR-SULTAN – Travel enthusiast Conrad Caeiro released a video about Nur-Sultan and his visit to the city on his YouTube channel “Vlog 360 Degrees”.

Caeiro visited Nur-Sultan last September and used this opportunity to make a video featuring the main sights to visit in the city.
“This has been my first trip to Nur-Sultan and, in fact, my first time traveling to the beautiful country of Kazakhstan. As I was on a business trip, I used the opportunity to make a travel vlog during my free time. The weather was very good in September, not too cold and around 17 Celsius degrees. It was a pleasure experiencing this very modern city,” Caeiro said in an interview for this story.
Although Caeiro has been travelling for a long time, the idea of vlogging and creating travel videos to showcase and promote the destinations to customers and the wider public only came up recently. His aim is to share his personal experience on the destination he has visited, offering firsthand information through his travel vlog.
The video covers his trips to the National Museum, the Square of Independence , Hazrat Sultan Mosque, Expo Center and Museum of Future Energy at the Nur Alem Pavilion as well as his stroll around the Ishim river and over the Atyrau Pedestrian bridge and a walking tour in the old town.
“I enjoyed the local cuisine with lunch at a very traditional Turfan Cafe where I tasted horse meat and kumys (fermented horse milk) for the very first time along with other samples of the local cuisine. I had a beautiful bird eye view of the city from top of the Bayterek Tower and also had the opportunity to place my palm in the Golden palm imprint of the First President of the country and was delighted when the staff at the tower played a special song written by the First President about the motherland,” he said.
Caeiro was impressed to discover the city during the trip on the Red Bus, which gave him an insight of the city with a panoramic tour and the architecture in the city.
“It was also a pleasure to see the Astana Opera House and visit the Khan Shatyr Mall, which offers shopping and entertainment too for children and families. I was amazed when I visited the Sky Beach Club in this mall. This club offers the locals and tourists the opportunity to have enjoy a beach experience,” he said.
Caeiro recommends visiting Nur-Sultan for at least three nights and hopes to visit Almaty next time.
“The city is well planned and safe. Also the expenses of food or transportation and visits to tourist attractions are all quite reasonable. I was very happy to see that the local people are very much friendly and helpful, whether when you’re at the tourist attractions or the malls etc. They really make you feel welcome. Also I did not see any traffic jams which is also worth mentioning,” he said.
Caeiro has been working in the travel industry for over two decades. Being passionate about travelling, he has travelled to 30 countries so far. Currently he’s been working and living in Abu Dhabi.
