ASTANA – NVIDIA Founder and CEO Jensen Huang will visit Kazakhstan for the first time as a special guest of AI Month, a national program bringing together artificial intelligence specialists, developers, startups, researchers and technology companies.

Huang will visit Kazakhstan at the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development Zhaslan Madiyev. His visit is scheduled for Oct. 23, when AI Month will conclude with a special event at the International Center for Artificial Intelligence alem.ai, reported the ministry’s press service.
Huang and Madiyev will hold a fireside chat covering global AI development, major technology trends, the preparation of a new generation of AI specialists and Central Asia’s prospects on the global technology map.
“Today, countries’ competitiveness is determined not only by access to technology, but also by the ability to create their own solutions and develop world-class teams,” Madiyev said.
“We seek to make Kazakhstan a hub for AI talent across Central Eurasia – a place where a strong idea can gain access to expertise, partnerships and an opportunity to reach the global market,” he added.
AI Month opens Sept. 23 with HackAlem AI, described by organisers as one of the world’s largest AI hackathons. Participants will have access to NVIDIA technology resources to develop and test their own AI solutions.
The program will also feature a meeting of the Council for the Development of Artificial Intelligence on Oct. 1, with NVIDIA Vice President Rev Lebaredian taking part. Huang’s participation will bring one of the technology industry’s most prominent executives to Kazakhstan as the country seeks to strengthen international partnerships and develop its domestic AI ecosystem.
Kazakhstan builds links with global AI industry
Kazakhstan’s growing ties with the global AI industry extend beyond AI Month. One example is Higgsfield, an AI-powered video and image generation platform valued at $5.4 billion. The company is an Astana Hub participant and uses NVIDIA computing infrastructure and AI software. According to the provided information, its platform supports more than six million video and image generations daily.
Higgsfield also maintains ties with Kazakhstan and Astana’s technology community and cooperates with Astana Hub to support the regional technology ecosystem.
“Kazakhstan has an exceptional opportunity to become an important centre for AI innovation and talent attraction,” said Higgsfield Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer Yerzat Dulat.
