ASTANA – Kazakhstan’s low-cost airline FlyArystan has launched regular flights on a new route connecting Almaty with Chongqing, expanding Kazakhstan’s air connectivity with China.

The new service began on Sept. 23 and will operate twice a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, using Airbus A320neo aircraft, according to the Civil Aviation Committee of the Ministry of Transport.
The new service will become FlyArystan’s fifth destination in China, complementing its existing routes to Urumqi, Yining (Kulja) and Xi’an. The launch of the new route is expected to strengthen air connectivity between Kazakhstan and China and contribute to the development of trade, business, investment, tourism and cultural ties between the two countries.
The Civil Aviation Committee continues to work on expanding Kazakhstan’s international flight network and increasing the number of international routes.
