In the Name of the Almighty
Dear Editor of The Astana Times,
Hereby, with due respect, we would like to point out a few inaccurate facts in the article “Kazakhstan’s Contribution to Settlement of Iranian Nuclear Programme Issue” in the edition No. 9(99), dated May 11, 2016, despite the notion of good relations between the two countries [Kazakhstan and Iran]. We would be grateful, should you decide to take appropriate measures in spreading the proper information and show respect to your readers in this matter.
1. As it was stated in the article, Iranian peaceful nuclear activity has a 50-year experience and has never pursued any non-peaceful purposes. The fact is clearly outlined in the latest International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) report, dated December 2, 2015.
2. Mentioning of the uneasiness in relations between Iran and some Middle East countries, which is tackled by certain groups, is a vision that doesn’t correspond to reality and is directed at dissemination of “Iran phobia” – and neither scientific nor realistic analysis should be based on such grounds. The Islamic Republic of Iran stresses the need to fight terrorism and seeks peaceful resolution of current issues in the Middle East according to the international law. Also the Islamic Republic of Iran is convinced in both the political settlement of the Syrian crisis via negotiations in the “Syrian side – Syrian side” format and the unity of the country; and regarding Yemen also via negotiations in the “Yemeni side – Yemeni side” format and the unity of the country – as the way of settlement of the Yemeni problem.
Respectfully,
The Press Service of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
