President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev

President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev

The message read as follows:
“I congratulate all Kazakhstan’s people on one of the most revered Muslim holidays – Oraza Ait! This holiday follows important fasting in the religious life of Muslims in the month of Ramadan.

During this month, all the features of Islam are being especially vividly revealed. They call for peace, tranquility, mercy and compassion.

In honour of this holiday, Muslims around the world, regardless of colour, race and nationality, fully show concern for their neighbour, provide material and spiritual support to the extent possible to those in need.
Representatives of different ethnicities and religions in Kazakhstan continue to show an example of friendship and accord, creativity and unity every day.

We should continue to promote the preservation of cultural and religious diversity in society and the strengthening of mutual respect and trust between citizens.

During this sacred holiday, I wish all Kazakhstan’s people spiritual accord, good health and prosperity.
Let the celebration of Oraza Ait further strengthen mutual understanding and friendship in Kazakhstan society.”
