As worldseriesofboxing.com reports, the match opened with a flyweight (49 kilogrammes) bout between Patrick Barnes and Temirtas Zhussupov. The Italian boxer remained undefeated for the season, winning the bout and scoring the first points for the guest team.

However, 2013 International Boxing Association (AIBA) World Championships bronze medalist Kairat Yeraliyev evened the score in the second fight against Michael Conlon in the bantam weight category (56 kilogrammes) with a split decision, making it a 1:1 match.

In the light welterweight (64 kilogrammes) division, Vincenzo Mangiacapre won every round against Askhat Ualikhanov to retake the lead and make it 2:1 for Italy. The lead did not last long, however, as middleweight (75 kilogrammes) Meiirim Nursultanov dominated Raffaele Munno to tie the team score at 2:2.

In the final showdown, Kazakh heavyweight Vasiliy Levit (91 kilogrammes) defeated Endri Spahiu to snatch victory for his team and keep the undefeated streak alive for his team.
