The film is a new episode of National Geographic’s iconic TV series Megastructures, which shows high-tech innovations used in the construction of some of the world’s most impressive buildings. The film on Astana is going to show the story of Kazakh capital’s construction and modernisation using up-to-date computer graphics.

“Astana, City of the Future” was produced by the Off The Fence production company. Its crew visited Astana in April to capture its unique architecture with a focus on the EXPO 2017 campus. The film will be shown on National Geographic’s international channels till the end of August. Before the unveiling of the documentary, the film crew will hold a press conference at the EXPO Media Centre Aug. 9 at 2:30 pm. National Geographic’s Executive Vice President in Europe & Africa Deborah Armstrong and Executive Producer of the film and CEO of Off The Fence Ellen Windemuth will participate in the press conference.
