Young entrepreneur from Karaganda and founder of the Otan Patrioty (“The Country’s Patriot”) watch brand Arman Toskanbayev gave the President a watch.

Toskanbayev, who at 25 years old is the same age as Kazakhstan’s independence, is the head of young entepreneurs association, an investor and public figure.

Also, he published a book of his own work “500 idei dlya biznesa” (“500 Ideas for Business”) where he shares his experience in business.

“I am 25 years old and I have four companies. One of them brings up to 168 million tenge (US$501,700) income per year and provides work to 33 people. My company manufactures watch and supports the ‘Made in Kazakhstan’ project. This became possible thanks to the  2020 Business Road Map programme, made by your instruction,” Toskanbayev told the President.

“Well done! I will now wear our own watch and not Swiss ones!” Nazarbayev quipped.

The presents did not end there. A young engineer also from Karaganda, Nurzhan Yesmagambet gave the President a certificate for trying out the first of latest generation drone manufactured in Kazakhstan to come off the assembly line.

“I head a laboratory of robotechnics and intellectual machinery in Karaganda. I created a line of new generation drones. One behalf of the entire Kazakh youth who build innovative Kazakhstan with you, let me thank you for your attitude to our inventions and hand a certificate from the first domestic drone assembled in our laboratory,” he said.

The youth forum is held twice a year in Kazakhstan. About 1,500 innovative youth, members of national youth organisations and institutes of civil society from all regions of Kazakhstan attend.
